Does not encode to AAC

Ive bought it to keep all my library as m4a-aac, and as we all know, iTunes converts it, but makes it a duplicate. I thought that through sound converter Id be able to convert all my files before importing them to iTunes.

Problem is, it only converts to ALAC (Apple Lossless) encoding, making the files HUGE. Even when I specify that I need the conversion to be AAC, it makes it ALAC. Tried contacting the developer, no answer til now.

And am afraid of buying another converter as theres no trial! There should be at least a standard 7-day trial to every app at the App Store.
